Bradley Gravett takes the positives from Silverstone 'stinker'
Posted by BRADLEY GRAVETT
Bradley Gravett was left to wonder what might have been at Silverstone after a challenging weekend saw his hopes of a top-three finish in the end-of-season Vertu Motors MINI CHALLENGE standings all but extinguished. Bradley went into the weekend on the back of a solid performance in the previous meeting at Knockhill, where a hat-trick of top-seven finishes had allowed him to move into the top five in the championship standings. Eager to impress again around the high-speed Silverstone National layout, Bradley hit the track for Friday practice bidding to maintain his front-running form, but it would prove to be...

The MINI Challenge JCW series is in full throttle as it heads into the championship's penultimate round at Silverstone this coming weekend, and Bradley is ready to set his mark on the prestigious national circuit layout for Round 6 of the championship. After a challenging weekend at Knockhill, Bradley is more determined than ever to secure consistent podium finishes at Silverstone. As the son of former British Touring Car Champion Robb Gravett, Bradley has motorsport in his blood, and he's been making quite a name for himself in the MINI Challenge JCW series this season with championship-winning team EXCELR8 Motorsport....

So Silverstone happened, and wow, what an experience that was! Okay, I've got to get this off my chest first; no, we didn't quite have the weekend of results we'd expected or anticipated to have, which wasn't ideal, and I'll get into that later, but just wow, to how EXCELR8 Motorsport run their team, in four words; "Nothing even comes close!" Yep, the results, hmm, yes, they were not at all what we'd expected to get. But, ultimately, I was hindered by minor mechanical teething issues that collectively added up, which in any 'normal' season would have been ironed out...

Being back at the home of British Formula 1, Silverstone is always such a great pleasure whether I am driving it or not; I always love visiting the track. Unlike any other circuit on the BTCC calendar, Silverstone has something other tracks simply don't offer, it's just different and has this unique feel of being cleaner, newer, bigger, and better than the rest, no offence other tracks, I like you all too, but for different reasons! I think it's most likely the vast amount of money being ploughed into the venue each year so the track can support the high...
MINI Challenge JCW Pre Round 6 Silverstone Test Day 2022

So yeah, here we are, race week of the championship's penultimate round, and to be honest, and I know I've said this kind of thing many times before, but wow, has this season really flown past. In light of our new EXCELR8 Motorsport team switch, these past weeks have been a little different to how race week build-up would usually be, and, spoiler alert, EXCELR8 have worked incredibly hard to prepare my race car ready for Silverstone this weekend. Upon receiving my race car from our old team, EXCELR8 wasted no time in tearing it apart, and when I say...
MINI Challenge JCW Post Silverstone National Tyre Test Report

As I usually do, I thought I'd let you know we got on from yesterday's MINI Challenge Goodyear tyre test at Silverstone, which was a very positive day that bodes incredibly well for this year's season. So, as with any 'race car' day, the morning started pretty early, and I got to the circuit at about 7am so I could make some adjustments to a couple of stickers, which in my naivety, I thought was a '2-second' job, turns out it wasn't, and it took about an hour and a half with a bit of help. Nevertheless, all the changes...

Wow, I can't believe how quickly the offseason has flown by; I mean, the last time you received one of my seventeen and a half (A4) page reports was just after the last round at Brands Hatch GP, which was at the end of October, almost five months ago, crazy how time flys! How does that saying go? "Time flies when you're..." anyway... I've got to be honest; it's been a very busy offseason for myself and the immediate team working behind the scenes at Gravett Racing; we've been working hard, pretty much non-stop, to secure the funding and support...
